Noelle Wallwork, Yoga Teacher
She/Her/Hers
What brought you to yoga?
Originally I was drawn to yoga in 2014 on a quest for a spiritual practice. The combination of moving the body and connecting with the breath stirred an energetic shift within me and I was hooked. I soon came to understand that yoga might be the key to healing lifelong breathing issues I had. Though I’ve explored, practiced, and taught a wide variety of yoga styles, the breath is always my anchor I return to.
What’s your yoga background and what are you most passionate about teaching?
My background started in Baptiste Power Yoga and soon expanded to slow flow vinyasa, yin and restorative, Primal Vinyasa, Myofascial Flows, and children’s yoga. I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training in 2015 and have enjoyed numerous trainings and continuing ed workshops in the last decade. I taught internationally at retreat centers and festivals, in studios across the country, and eventually decided to deepen my education in anatomy through massage therapy school. My practice in massage therapy has deeply influenced how I am passionate about teaching now- with a strong focus on the fullness of breath infused into each movement, creating space for meditation, and fun, playful exploration of the body & breath.
What would your students be surprised to know about you?
When I’m not in the studio, my music is mostly reggae, conscious hip hop, and 70s rock/folk.
