September 2025 - November 2026
Have you already completed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program? The Yoga Pod Tucson 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program can be taken after the completion of any existing Yoga Alliance accredited 200 Hour Teacher Training program to certify teachers as RYT®500.
The Yoga Pod Tucson 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program begins with a 50-hour one week yoga training intensive in September 2025 and ends with a final 50-hour yoga training intensive week in November 2026.
The teacher training classes between the two intensive weeks run as modules throughout the year so students can take 25-50 hours at a time and accumulate an additional 175 yoga teacher training hours through the module topics they are most interested in. This allows for integration of the new information through module based case studies and leads up to the final ‘practicums’ where students lead an anatomy based vinyasa class, a yin or restorative class, one workshop and a guided meditation to graduate in the final intensive week in November 2026. Additionally, the group meets the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30pm - 8:00pm for Practice & Integration sessions.
Our Yoga Alliance-certified 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program is designed for yoga teachers ambitious about expanding their teaching styles and personal practices. This unique program is designed to address both Yin and Yang modalities, with full expert led modules in yin yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, guided meditation, as well as anatomy informed training in vinyasa yoga sequencing.
With our curated group of yoga subject matter experts, students will experience a wide variety of yoga informed modalities to help enhance their teaching methods and personal practice.

“ I am incredibly pleased with the Yoga Pod Tucson 300 hour teaching training program.!
I am very glad I made the decision to join. Shae is a true yoga scholar with a well-rounded background and training skillset. In particular she has a working knowledge of functional anatomy, both as it relates to yoga as well as movement in general. Her yoga flows are creative and dynamic, I learned so much about becoming a deeper teacher with a solid anatomy background. Her myofascial training woven into vinyasa is such a skillset and unique offering to be able to teach! Our other lead Kumari is a gifted yin, restorative, pranayama and subtle body teacher. Her teachings are accessible and tangible, preparing me to confidently teach each format. Shae brought in expert teachers from around the country to deepen our understanding of every area of yoga. It was truly an in-depth study of yoga to really ground me as I continue on my teaching journey. I had hoped to deepen my study of yoga, but what I feel at the end of training is like a completely transformed teacher, vibrating with confidence and a solid backing of skillsets. I highly recommend this training!”

FAQ’s
(Straight from Lead Instructor, Shaelyn!)
+ WHAT PREREQUISITES ARE REQUIRED TO ENROLL IN THE 300 HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM?
To enroll in the 300 Hour Teacher Training program, students must have already completed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. They are not required to have led a specific number of hours, but we highly recommend that students spend at least one year teaching after their initial 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program. Students who meet this criteria can schedule an application call with Shaelyn (shae@tucsonyogapod.com) to ensure the program is a good fit for both the student and Yoga Pod Tucson.
+ HOW IS THIS TRAINING DIFFERENT?
Our 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program is designed to support teachers and practitioners in expanding upon their current knowledge base so they have more tools and teaching modalities to share. Our program focuses on expanding vinyasa curriculum so teachers have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology and can use this information to create thoughtful yoga classes that honor both yoga tradition and what we've learned through modern sciences.
Additionally, our program has additional modules such as Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, and training in the 26/2 Ghosh Tradition so teachers can learn to pull from many different styles and lineages to support a wider range of populations.
Our program is spread out over the course of one year to make time for integrating and practicing the new information. Included in the training fee is 14 months of unlimited yoga at Yoga Pod Tucson as well as catered lunches for the intensive weeks. We offer flexible payment plans as well as three BIPOC scholarships so that we can help support bringing a broader spectrum of voices to all conversations and the yoga community as a whole.
+ WHAT WILL I BE ABLE TO DO WITH THIS TRAINING UPON COMPLETION
This program is ideal for all yoga teachers and 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training graduates who are ready to broaden their offerings and eager to explore more yoga modalities. More specifically, this program can be used to transition teachers from Registered 200 Hour Yoga Teachers to Registered 500 Hour Yoga Teachers. Teachers with the RYT500 designation can go on to lead Yoga Alliance accredited Training Courses and Teacher Trainings, as well as experience more opportunities with studios and institutions than those who have only completed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program.
+ What are the completion requirements to graduate?
To graduate the 300 Hour Program and receive a certificate to submit to Yoga Alliance, students must meet the following criteria: Attend Foundation Week Intensive - September 2025 (50 hours); Attend 175 hours of the offered 250+ modules from Oct. 2025 - Oct. 2026; Attend at least 10 of the 13 first Wednesday of the month Practice & Integrations sessions (25 hours); Attend and teach 5 hours in the Closing Week Intensive - October 2026 (50 hours)
+ WHAT IS YOGA ALLIANCE?
As you explore different teacher training programs, you'll notice that many (including ours) highlight that they are approved by Yoga Alliance. Yoga Alliance is the largest nonprofit association representing the yoga community. It is also the largest worldwide governing body that approves schools whose curriculum meet their 'standards'. These standards include which topics are taught and how many hours teachers spend teaching them. When choosing a yoga training program, looking for the Yoga Alliance stamp of approval can be helpful in that it means the program is more likely to be credible compared to programs where the school has not had their training program reviewed in depth and approved. Yoga Pod Tucson's 300 Hour Teacher Training Program is approved by Yoga Alliance's 300 Hour Program criteria and can be used to register as an RYT500 through Yoga Alliance.
+ WHAT IF I MISS A SESSION?
Because our program is in module format, there are an extra 75 hours built into the training schedule. Students can simply accumulate their total hours by attending modules that fit into their routine and annual calendar. If classes are missed within a module that a student is already registered for, or during a required intensive week, we have vetted videos and experiences that can be used to make up any remaining hours.
+ Can I teach at Yoga Pod Tucson after training?
Yoga pod Tucson requires all instructors to have at least 50 hours of logged teaching experience with Yoga Alliance before applying for a teaching position. If you are interested in teaching at Yoga Pod Tucson after completion of the training and you go on to fulfill your 50 hours of teaching experience, you will have the opportunity to demo your class to receive more mentorship and community class experience at Yoga Pod Tucson. If your community classes go well, you will receive an invitation to be on the studio substitute instructor list and eventually have a regular class, assuming your substitute role is a good fit for both you and the studio and a regular class opens up that aligns with your scheudule.
+ DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! We offer interest free payment plans that can be paid over the course of 14+ months. We still ask that you pay the $1,000 non-refundable deposit as soon as possible to reserve your spot, but we're happy to work with you to come up with a timeline that supports you.
