Kim Hankins
What brought you to yoga?
In 2009, I was struggling with a repetitive stress injury and found that yoga classes were a huge help with my recovery! I owe so much to my daily āsana, prāṇāyāma, mantra, and meditation practices as they continue to improve every area of my life.
What’s your yoga background and what are you most passionate about teaching?
I have always loved fitness, originally wanting to pursue a ballet career and taking lessons from age four. In recent years, my primary movement practices have included 26&2, Pilates, Kyudo/Archery, Vinyasa, Hatha, Rock Climbing, Viniyoga, Sri Sri Yoga, Tap Dancing, Barre, Yin, and the occasional Pokémon walk. Regardless of the class, I am passionate about holding space for people to have whatever experience they need, and my favorite is witnessing others find joy in their practice!
What would your students be surprised to know about you?
I'm a member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra!
