Susie Stevens

Barre Teacher

What brought you to yoga/barre?
10 years ago I was fortunate enough to be on the ground floor of a new innovative workout being introduced to Tucson called BARRE3. Since then I’ve found that BARRE is the perfect compliment to the other higher impact genres of fitness I was teaching, and I love the combination of physicality, choreography, and mindful movement to music.

What’s your yoga/barre background and what are you most passionate about teaching?
I started teaching group fitness & advanced choreography STEP in 1990! Since then my ‘group fitness career' included teaching many of the Les Mills Programs such as BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT (kick boxing) and BODYFLOW (yoga/tai chi/ pilates fusion) and more recently…. BARRE & Indoor Cycling! I am beyond grateful for the people I’ve met and moved with on this journey, and am so excited to now be a part of the Yoga Pod family!

What would your students be surprised to know about you?
I’m a native Tucsonan, and love to cook and eat Mexican Food.
