Erica Chen, Vinyasa Teacher

What brought you to yoga?
I grew up dancing in Florida and got my BFA in Dance at FSU. At first I practiced yoga as a means to supplement my dancing - little did I know it would change every aspect of my life.

What’s your yoga background and what are you most passionate about teaching?
Once I did my 200hr YTT at Yoga Vida in NYC, everything started to fall into place. I had found a movement practice that allowed me to show up exactly as I am - with no judgment from myself, my peers or my teachers. I spent the next ten years gaining experience teaching for multiple studios, wellness companies, corporate classes and for private students. I continued to hone my craft through getting my katonah yoga certification, pre and post natal certification, and more. I began teaching 200 hour and 300 hour trainings and mentoring teachers.

What would your students be surprised to know about you?
Yoga led me to my husband - Grant Henry. We co-founded our own yoga company, House of Flow, and opened a studio in Brooklyn, NY!
