Diana Barillari-Croce
What brought you to yoga?
My yoga practice began in 2005 as a casual practice; I was initially drawn to yoga because I found similarities between the yoga asana and my modern dance background. Yoga would always meet me where I was, and I found the practice very grounding, balancing, mentally and emotionally healing.
What’s your yoga background and what are you most passionate about teaching?
Over the past twelve years, my practice deepened significantly and I knew that I had to find a way to share the joy and benefits of yoga with others. I received my RYT-200 certification through Yoga Pod Tucson in 2021 under the instruction of Shaelyn Delgado. I continued my yoga education completing an additional 300 hours of training to earn my RYT 500 in 2023. I'm passionate about the asana (active physical practice) as well as the history, philosophy and mythology of yoga. I'm particularly drawn to vinyasa style yoga; I love the physically challenging practice coupled with the freedom to move the body fluidly synching movement with breath
What would your students be surprised to know about you?
I was born in Montreal, Canada, I'm Italian and I speak the language fluently.
