What brought you to yoga?
I have always felt overwhelmed by sports and kept getting hurt and Yoga offered a way to tune in, calm down and cultivate presence and regulation in my body and mind. I discovered Yoga in a High School aerobics class and came back to the practice years later and fell in love.
What’s your yoga background and what are you most passionate about teaching?
I started practicing Yoga Asana and Meditation at Yoga Connection years ago and then fell deeply in love at Yoga Oasis. After completing a Bachelor’s degree at the U of A, I traveled to India for my first teacher training and started teaching when I returned, completing 3 other trainings since then. I am most passionate about teaching yoga philosophy,chanting, breathwork and gentle and restorative practices that support nervous system regulation, sleep hygiene and healing.
What would your students be surprised to know about you?
I’ve been running my own personal coaching business since 2016 and love working with people who are ready to up level in areas of Identity, Peace and Power.
